Our Office
We are a Midlands based multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. Our recently built purpose built office in Portarlington is ideal for meeting clients and our day to day operations.
We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm
Ruairi Whelan | Chartered Engineer (Engineers Ireland)
Ruairi Whelan is the founder and lead Chartered Engineer at RWA, offering a leadership perspective forged across multiple engineering disciplines over a distinguished 30-year career. His technical foundation was built through qualifications in Civil and Transportation Engineering from Napier University, Edinburgh, following his initial studies at Carlow RTC.
His extensive experience is uniquely varied, encompassing significant site-based project delivery, strategic consultancy, and senior management. This broad expertise enables him to understand challenges holistically and deliver integrated solutions. Known for his dedicated professionalism and a steadying, calm presence, Ruairi founded his practice in 2005. He now directs the firm’s continued growth from its new headquarters on the Canal Road in Portarlington.
